Petplex Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! 

Our practice is equipped to handle a wide range of cases from routine wellness to complex advanced care and emergencies. You will regularly engage with surgical procedures, internal medicine testing and diagnostics, and urgent care cases that challenge your skills. In this role, you will:

  • Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures – including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.

  • Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication.

  • Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.

  • Work individually and cooperatively with team members to ensure the highest level of patient care

Petplex Animal Hospital Team

This is a full-time or part-time position, with a flexible schedule. Availability needed Monday-Friday. This position also requires On Call Weekends (about every 8 weeks) and rotating Saturdays.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Ohio or currently enrolled in a Veterinary Technician Program

  • Prior experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred but not required

  • Proficiency in the following skills: 

    • Anesthesia induction and monitoring

    • Dental prophy and radiographs

    • Digital radiography

    • In-house Pharmacy and laboratory

    • IV catheter placement

    • Strong multi-tasking skills

    • Excellent client communication and medical record management skills

    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

    • Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations

    • Various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens
